Judy --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Agenda for the STEM Call on February 8, 2018 Congratulations to Ahmad Swaid on his election as an Eclipse Committer! 1. Upcoming STEM Release identified earlier as Version 3.0.0 Milestone 5 will move to Eclipse 4.0 and thus be identified as version STEM Version 4.0 *For current workaround to problem with launcher on Mac go to https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/mv/msg/1084123/1753241/#msg_1753241 2. Project Updates Emily: Taking course on Java programming using the Eclipse IDE this week; hopes to make call; updates included below (thanks, Emily) *Problem running experiments with a different seed (on Windows) persists, will ask tutor at this week’s course *Will firm up details on visit to Almaden once exact date set *Question for Jamie: Any issue passing the –loadWorkspacePlugins option in the Java LoopReplace.jar? *Getting different folders in the output (recorded simulations folder) when running headless as opposed to GUI; doesn’t log anything from the new compartments created in her disease model; also (less importantly) creates a folder for the population model Tekla *Status of work using Pajak, shape files; issues re infector/innoculator/initialize Nereyda *Take homes from Transportation Research Board Meeting in January 3. STEM Update: Ahmad *Update on fix to icon problem (getting icons to show, not just red boxes)? Manual, distributed fix required? *Full authorization from Eclipse? Branch repository checked in? Per Jamie, all developers need to freeze new branch *Decision prior to merge: What to do about build program? Help from Eclipse? 4. Documentation Updates *Jamie: Fix to ant build in; documentation updated at *Taras: Posts to Bugzilla re dropdown menu to select population, need to look for EMF setting (bug in XML files?); doc clarified (editing a scenario will affect all scenarios with the same object) *Jamie and Stefan: For solvers using Apache math, put in link; improve documentation *Emily: Will write up info to wiki on stochastic solvers after her course 4.
