STEM Community Call September 6, 2012

1. 1.4.0 Release Plan (tentative date 9/25/2012)

Stefan: Handling the process w/ Eclipse; Wayne wants all materials by 9/12
Presentation Slides

Need to complete review by 9/19                       
NEW FEATURES READY FOR TESTING

* Simplified Model Generator for new Disease and Population models (Matt)

* New Implementation of STEM Preferences  (Dan)

         Enable import of discrete transportation events

2. New Documentation for 1.4.0
* Wiki practice
* Mixing edges and mixing edge graph generator (DONE) integrated in transportation models page (DONE)
          Map view features  (DONE)  
          Pajak import tutorial (DONE)
* Best Practice for Developers, writing performance critical components in STEM (DONE except for introductory explanation)  
* Additional doc for more realistic food scenario (DONE)
* Better top level food modeling doc (DONE)

*New features/preferences to simplify new model creation (DONE)  

TO DO OR DEFER: Generating EMF editors (Stefan)
         
3. Werner’s upcoming talk in Poland: The OHF Legacy (see wiki for link to The Bourne Legacy)

Jamie: Will send Werner Powerpoint poster on food-borne disease

         New extension in STEM makes it possible to handle food production and food-borne disease 

Werner: Will download STEM, presentation material (scenarios, etc.) on new laptop

7. ITEMS FROM PARTICIPANTS

Dan: Implementing view that allows for running food distribution based on empirical data: 2 sets of experiments; one runs, then averages; the other provides visuals; will not be in 1.4.0, is in incubation stage; will be ready for demo next week

Jamie: Will create 3 dengue scenarios using data from Thailand; Stefan will be invited to join dengue call on Friday
