NEW: Summer Call Schedule

*July 26: Call as usual

*August 2: NO CALL

*August 9: Call as usual; Kun to moderate

1. Alfiya and Kamesh from IBM India will be joining the call. They are working on dengue for the National Environmental Center in Singapore, will be using STEM

2. 1.4.0 Release Plan (tentative 9/25/2012)
**New Build this week (Milestone 2). Will post next Thursday  7/26/2012; going smoothly to date
   **Let's test every downloadable scenario

    Bug Fixes from 1.3.1
    Performance improvements
Simplified creation of new Disease and Population models (Tools for generating new disease plugins)
    Pajek-file Importer:
Enable import of discrete transportation events
Enable integration between user graphs and existing STEM graphs
New MapView to visualize the discrete transportation events and the ability to display multiple views of the same simulation
    Polio Example
    Stochastic Modeling Framework
Ability to Delete Items inside a Graph from Designer Perspective
Deep copy drag and drop for models
    Refactor
    Create new mixing edges
    Improved UI for decorators view
    New Implementation of STEM Preferences

    Pajek demo scenario is fixed

3. New Doc for 1.4.0: In good shape
   * wiki practice
   * mixing edges and mixing edge graph generator (DONE) integrated in transportation models page (done). posted on newsgroup
           * map view features
           * Pajak import tutorial (Done and posted)
   * Best Practice for Developers, writing performance critical components in STEM (done)
   * Additional doc for more realistic food SCENARIO doc is done but not in wiki yet. Scenario today.
   * Need better top level food modeling doc (draft created)

4. Eclipse Preferences (update): Danny working on this

5. Food production discussion. Latest data/results. Jamie: Toy model using more realistic landscan data for Berlin and 1800 grocery stores worked well; still need to define relationship between retailers and food distributors

6. ISVEE2012 poster (need screenshots)

Chris: Looks good

Jamie: Matthias wants list of disease models

7. Dengue and new Climate data for Thailand: Will plan a new global plugin, but probably won’t do right away

8. BUGs of the week:
i)  https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=327159: REMOVE FROM LIST; don’t need
Tie Disease Parameter Modifications to Specific Locations (fix based on control labels)
        * Don't need to add location parameter for new disease models
        * Will look into using external data source disease model and how to extend it if necessary
ii) fixed new bug in property selector (shows up for multiple maps): FIXED; REMOVE FROM LIST

9. Items from Participants

Stefan: Issue w/ daily data when running mosquito population model; Jamie: external data source must adapt time if using delta, not #s; Q: is there a numerical technique?

Jamie: Question: Why, when running pork scenario (slaughter houses, regions consuming), didn’t all slaughterhouses get colored; Answer: Was using Chris’s map (a good one) that runs synchronously. NOT A BUG

Kun: Expect to hear shortly from J Theor Bio re revisions submitted in response to reviewers of dengue modeling paper
