*  Malaria (done)
*  Mosquitoes VCAP (done)
*  Population Rescaler
*  Shape file importer (NEW)
*  Solvers

3. IDEAS FOR FUTURE STEM DEMOS; All to identify any additional possibilities.

>FD vs Integration
>Data Import example (playback)
>Data input example (initialize from csv)
>Data logging image and data examples
>Dengue Fever example(s)
>Disease Playback demo

4. CONTINUED DISCUSSION ON MODELING OF FOOD MEDIATED DISEASES: All welcome to join in discussion on newsgroup.
Will an "Exchange Decorator" handle what we need to do? As now being developed, acts as a “Transformation Decorator.”
Stefan checked in two new plugins (org.eclipse.stem.foodproduction, org.eclipse.stem.ui.foodproduction) now available to start development.

5. CALLING EXTERNAL PROGRAMS FROM STEM TO INITIALIZE A SCENARIO.
Seems like a good solution; working with Matthias on this. More details on use case need to be worked out.

6. NORWAY MAP UPDATE FOR/FROM DISEASE PREDICTION SERVICE FOR NORTHERN NORWAY (KASSAYE, JAMIE)

In process as per discussion on email; mostly there; issues remain regarding borders between Norway & neighboring countries.

7. IPZILLA UPDATES

Matt: No movement from Eclipse on openmap BUT discussed on how to handle on last call; can still release code, but use will need to take 5-6 steps to use openmap in STEM; lack of approval from Eclipse will not block release.

Matt: Eclipse has accepted Norway maps for consideration.

8. ITEMS FROM PARTICIPANTS

KASSAYE: Query re invoking an external file. Jamie: Like Matthias, Kassaye may need 2-way use case (send, feedback parameter), may be much like Matthias’ requirements now being discussed. Kassaye will join this discussion.

MAX:  Query re common borders in shape file. Jamie: Current semi-automated process requires some manual curation for common borders in shape files, may have to add in or delete; Matthias is working on a graphical editor that would help developers handle common edges/polygons; STEM defines the center purely for visualization. TO DO: Max will talk with Matthias about use cases (don’t necessarily have to create human population. Jamie: Is the shape file a user function? Need to get everything you can out of the shape file (common borders edge), can put in roads last, after all else is working; TO DO: Jamie has some code, will send examples to Max. Query re deliverable date. Max concerned January date may be optimistic. Per Jamie: Max should discuss with Matthias; Almaden team has some flexibility, can let slip a few weeks.

WERNER: Updates on meetings: Most recent, no one from health care, Vienna meeting should have health care attendees. May hear soon about EclipseCon; will let team know if proposal accepted.
