New Release 1.2.2. Release candidate is up; target date for release is September 7

·         Includes bug fixes from 1.2.1, new faster accessors for disease models

New target date for 1.3 (1/07/2012)

·         Major New Features to include

    • Ten years of Earth Science Data (2000-2010) available as STEM

    • Malaria Disease Model (''Anopheles'' calibrated)
    • Dengue Fever Disease Model (''Aedes'' not yet calibrated)
    • Additional NLS + User ability to switch languages
    • Logger Framework with new loggers
    • Shape File Import Utility (Dependency on Open Map CQ)
    • Integrating external models for study of food based transmission
    • New Differential Equation solver(s) from commons.math library
    • Bug Fixes from 1.2.2

·         Need presentation slides for 1.3, formalize process, submit to Eclipse; Jamie will ask Matthias for several slides

TODOs check colors on map, timeseries, and analysis timeseries views

  • Kun working on timeseries colors, will double check status

TODO: org.eclipse.core.runtime.Preferences; is deprecated

  • This class is replaced by IEclipsePreferences
  • Matt will evaluate, discuss w/ Alamaden team
  • Jamie will discuss this an infrastructure issues w/ Matthias if his proposal is accepted (Oct/Nov timeframe per Matthias) 

Babel language pack CQ' submitted

  • Matt checking; partial approval; Jamie/Matt to follow up

Werner's abstract submission

  • Jamie: IBM team cannot attend due to funding
  • Werner: Can present abstract on behalf of team at Eclipsecon Europe; will send link to Jamie to distribute

New Item: IBM team invited to give STEM workshop in Malaysia in December (originally week of Dec 5; may be week earlier or later)

  • Jamie: Want prep work to be reusable
  • Will prepare scenarios for tutorial showing differences between solvers, data input example, data logging, image and data examples
  • For each demo scenario, will produce YouTube tutorials; Stefan has done screen saves for these
  • Example of food borne disease? Matthias: hopefully yes, will talk w/ Jan

New Item: Because of above, will do code freeze @ beginning of November, do code testing and bug fixes; do new release candidate for 1.2.3 11/1/11

  • After 1.2.2: change platform to Indigo, hopefully cure bug of disappearing items (will EMF fix?)
  • Harden 1.2.3 before workshop; date to be determined, late November

New Item: Jamie will take Alamaden team to see the film Contagion next week
