Reminder to All

·         Update Eclipse Environment

·         This FRIDAY, the repository will be locked for restructuring at 9AM PDT

·         Final checking should occur before 9AM PDT July 15

·         Recheck out everything on Monday, July 18

 

Introductions: Eric Rial, new to call; engineer with DoD working on the Joint Effects Model (JEM) project; interested in STEM’s architecture (OSGI, schema driven); integrators of existing models (don’t develop them)

 

Update on Release Planning

·          Anticipate no problems; will simplify build process

·         Have some new icons

 

Update on documentation

·         Some done; some still in process but on schedule

·         Have chicken pox scenario, Chris now writing documentation

·         Matt updating build processes for developers

 

Enhanced interventions: Stefan

·         Working on enhancements, modeling down to a regional level

·         Interventions include vaccinations, evacuations, and transportation

·         Doing the documentation

·         All will be in one scenario

 

NLS, Babel

·         Translations for strings in progress for German, Norwegian, and Swedish

·         Two new projects posted, will have two more short lists

·         Japanese and Korean underway, no set date

·         Jamie: After initial translation, will put up on Babel for upgrading”


Items from participants

·         Werner: Gates foundation funding for malaria research mentioned in press (stinky socks in mosquito traps)

·         Kun: Working to identify parameters for dengue model

o   4 different serotypes, 2 types of infections per person --> 42 different compartments in model

o   Jamie: have call with Hopkins later today
