[stem-dev] Timestamp enhancement and possible bug in simulation control

Hi Bryan,
I just ran an up to date version of STEM on Mac (with no patch) and I am seeing the date correctly update in the Simulation Control.
Would please create a new "possible bug in simulation control" in  bugzilla and describe the condition under which you see this (eg. what scenario is being run, what platform etc)?

The question of whether it's necessary to click in the map or just mouse over to determine if the tooltip should appear was a design choice. A simple mouse over and some patience does show the tooltip (again before applying your patch). I don't see right away how this could change with the changes you made but maybe you discovered a second bug. We'll investigate some more tomorrow.

Thank you very much for the great work!!

Sincerely,
Jamie

Subject: Timestamp enhancement

Hey guys,

Justin has added the patch for the addition of the timestamp to the tooltip(https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=340720).

The addition of the timestamp to the tooltip seems to work for one or more simulations, however in creating the enhancement and testing we found that the simulation control date is not updating as it should be. This seems persistent in the trunk also and not a result of our enhancement. More specifically, in the simulation control tab, the date is not updating as the simulation is being run, but it does update if you step through it.

Also, it seems to get the tooltip to display, I have to click on the map every time I want the tooltip to show. Is this working as intended? When I created the first tooltip enhancement I could actually hover-over to produce the tooltip.

Sincerely,
Bryan Hobbs
