Task
and Documentation Tracking
On
call: Jamie, Tom, Matt, Stefan, Dan Tero, Arik, Traci, Matthias, Judy
Farewell
to Tom
·
Leaving
Almaden and heading back to Thailand tomorrow
·
Has
done a lot of work during his time at Almaden
·
Developed
mosquito model
·
Drafted
paper Jamie is reviewing, then Judy and Arik to review
Contribution
from Tero
·
Sent
patch to Matt; patch looks great!
·
Matt
has applied first patch to trunk; hasn’t yet committed
·
Matt
will post comment on Bugzilla for Tero to reply to, stating the code is his and
he has permission to contribute it; Tero will respond
·
Is
working on changes to the equals method; has removed hatch code
·
Still
needs to change all instances to reflect new method
·
Essential
to move to CDO
·
Dan:
Once do regressions, ok; need to find all instances
Release
1.1.1 Plan
·
Date
for release changed by consensus vote; now 12/3/2010 instead of 11.22/10
·
Matt:
Concerns were around major bugs; triggers and modifiers; and Earth Science data
·
Stefan:
What to show for Earth Science data? Tom’s model?
·
Jamie:
Releasing only one year of data for Earth Science plug-in
·
Need
to include tool in Release 1.1.2 to include more
·
Matt:
Need Release Candidate out several weeks prior to official release
·
Group:
Agreed to change release date to 12/3/2010 (instead of 11/22/2010)
·
Stefan
will update metadata
Items
from Participants
Matt:
Already covered
Stefan:
Working on some bug fixes
Traci:
Latest integration build ready? Yes
Tom:
Thank you to Jamie, Stefan, Matt and other STEM folks
Judy: Submitted
paper to Elsevier; in reviewing documentation on wiki, need to be sure
documentation on tool for Earth Science data is completed prior to Release
1.1.2; will issue tickler in Jan/Feb timeframe
Tero: How is
unit testing proceeding? He’s getting about 50% failures; Matt: Still in
progress, but getting better; Jamie: Input as to meaningful tests appreciated
Arik: Looking at
malaria risk index as a way of modeling malaria, perhaps bite rate,
transmission; Jamie: Look at Tom’s code, literature—this is a
calibration issue perhaps not best understood as population vs risk
Traci: Posted
query re disease parameters on Newsgroup; Matthias responded; Ro different
from transmission rate (Beta); Jamie: Covered in paper now under review at
Epidemics; Judy to send Traci preprint; Jamie: Need follow up documentation
clarifying transmission rate
Matthias: Dublin
core issues; helpful to store unit with parameter; need to rethink; will submit
Feature Request; Jamie: Will look at options to address context sensitive help;
Matthias: Will go over documentation from Armand (?), material Jamie sent from
Sondra on standards is helpful
Dan: Looking at
Buckminister and target platforms; some kinks with internal data project;
working with two projects, can ID target platform as RCP3.6, click for
download; frees us from running different versions of Eclipse; increases
stability; specifies dependencies, users can build consistently; Warning to
group: May see some clean up coming through; currently STEM uses a product
build, this will be a feature build and will keep things in sync automatically;
won’t replace ant script, but will have to do only once; features build
has plug-ins (including data plug-ins) grouped together; internal data projects
not part of features; Stefan and Matt will check out the two projects
Jamie: Will be
in all day meeting next week; Dan to coordinate moderating with Stefan
