Task and Documentation Tracking

On call: Stefan (moderating), Matt, Isabel, Mattias, Traci, Judy

 

Findbugs Update

·         Stefan: Open source plug-in, gives warnings

·         Matt:  Static analysis tool; doesn’t do source code; went through reports ranking priority as high/ normal/low; found about 100 high, fixed 50; found 600 normal, fixed 150; lots of false positives; found a couple pretty bad bugs in code we don’t use; fixed those in code we do

·         Mattias: Create one open bug in Bugzilla and copy/paste in report of bugs we are not going to fix; Matt: Will do 

Earth Science Data (temp, rainfall, vegetation, elevation)

·         Isabel: Put information, screen shots on wiki, newsgroup; currently only 2009 data for temperature, rainfall and vegetation (monthly data)

·         Stefan: For each country, can drag into model; use now limited, will improve; poroperty file in geography

·         Mattias: Make some scenarios available for download; Stefan: Will do

Release 1.1.0 Planning

·         Stefan: Last week moved data to September 18; see planning document on web

·         Traci: Query re triggers, can use elapsed time test, basic functionality; can’t edit absolute time test; will contact Dan Ford who developed the tool

Bug of the Week 175148

·         Stefan: Concern re amount of memory used by Dublin Core, how to address; need more investigation re spatial data; not proposing to removing from nodes

·         Discussion: Have value for nodes, not sure memory size a performance issue; need to look at labels, edges

·         Resolution: on Newsgroup Mattias will document not to remove from nodes; Stefan will document other discussion items

Items from Participants

·         Mattias: Query re unit testing; Matt: now doing, resolving exceptions from last month’s move; coverage for newer code will be added; Query re support for multiple populations; Stefan: Broken link on wiki fixed, population initializer gives good example; Re Markus’ query last week about GIS data, has contacted Eurogeographics; licensing issue still to be resolved; Re project he’s undertaking on shape files, will send task description to Jamie for discussion next week

·         Traci: How to compute incidence? Do the delta?; Stefan: with SEIR, use time stamp data and calculate difference = incidence; Stefan: Weekly build fixed (transportation network, death non-cumulative

·         Judy: Sondra Renly has sent revised version of paper for ACM to Mexico City officials for review; working w/ Stefan to update documentation

·         Stefan: Query to Mattias re Armin’s code, i.e., need to verify no copyright issues; Mattias: Thinks all self made, will check, will have new version by September
