Re: [soc-dev] Mentor assignments

Hi Wayne, since there are several Orion-related proposals, we can review them in our weekly call tomorrow and give a ranking from the project's perspective of which ones are most valuable. I see the ranking deadline is April 20th so I guess you don't need to start making final judgments before that. Is it known how many slots Eclipse gets as a whole?

John

[soc-dev] Mentor assignments

Greetings mentors.

I've started preliminary assignments of mentors to projects. I've tried to spread out the love so that most of you are only assigned to one project each (with one exception). As a general rule, I advise against mentoring more than two projects: it can be a lot of work.

I've made a slot allocation request based on the feedback provided so far.

As administrator, it falls on me to determine which proposals we will accept. I intend to start with the highest scoring proposals and work down. I will do my best to keep things fair as far as Eclipse projects are concerned (i.e. I'll make sure that all Eclipse projects get at least one GSoC project before I start any doubling up).

As always, your feedback is appreciated.

Wayne
