Will this work on a production phone?  /data/misc wouldn't be writable on a production phone, right?

Looks like Markus has some interesting ideas here. The second half of
the deck isn't Android specific, but it looks like he has this
working. Maybe it's something that we can put a nice wrapper around.

One drawback I see to using this is having to set /data/misc to
writable. I wonder if we could use /sdcard instead.
