Thread-topic: old branches: migration from svn to git

Eclipse SVN will be shut down on December 22, 2014. [1] Therefore we migrate our old branches to GIT and our SVN repo will be set to read-only.

For patches on old versions, please work with the branches on git. From now on any commits to SVN would be lost, once the SVN is shut down.
