Re: [rt-pmc] OSGi draft spec for Async Services

I think Equinox is the correct place to have an implementation of Async services at Eclipse.  A contributor would need to show up with interest in implementing and maintaining the work though.  Let me know if you are interested and we can start planning.

I just noticed this on the Vert.x list, and it piqued my curiousity.

Would an implementation of this be part of Equinox in the future?

A question that ECF is most interested in also...as we have committed to use some OSGi Async Services implementation as part of our support for OSGi Remote Services...alongside our own async remote services [1].  For reference, there's a brief discussion about supporting the AS spec between Thomas and myself starting at the bottom of the comment here [2].

Could this be the basis for some level of collaboration between the Vert.x project and the OSGi-based projects in RT?

That would be great.  FWIW, ECF already has an enhancement request to use vert.x to create a remote service provider [3].
