hi Elias,

yesterday in our weekly call we discussed whether marker getter should  
check the status of other markers. An example is can a field have an  
error marker (=invalid value) if it also has a hidden marker.

I discussed that today with some people locally. Our conclusion was  
that they should not. An field is still error marked if it is hidden.  
The caller should combine the result of various markers if that is  
necessary for him not the ridget itself.

An example is the navigation tree. It shows an error marker if any of  
the fields on the view is marked with and error. It should not count  
fields that are hidden. Thats the task of the navigation piece of code  
to make that judgement not of the ridget.

Any other opinions around about this topic ? Feedback welcomed
