Re: [recommenders-dev] Upcoming Conference Talks - Prototype Demos

Unfortunately not. However, the API is simple (there are nodes, states, probabilities, and links - that's it). I guess learning how to use Bayesian networks in general is more likely the challenge (compared to using the API).

We should be able to paint the planed net structure on a sheet of paper before implementing the logic. I think an IRC discussion or Skype Meeting/Google Hangout may be best to get started.

Cheers,
Marcel

Hi Marcel,

We will certainly try the Bayesian Networks in code recommenders and will begin to work on it in the next week.
By the way, are there any documentations or examples focused on the Bayesian Networks in code recommenders?

Best,
Cheng

So, shall we begin to make the reliable plans for JavaOne in the next week (probably on August 1st or 2nd)?

That sounds great.

Did you already decide which recommendation technique you want to use for computing recommendations? Are Bayesian Networks (as we use them for calls, overrides and templates completion) an option? If so, I may be able to support you on model generation and automated model download in the next 2 weeks. An automated build and test suite would also be nice :)

If you like we can discuss more details on #eclipse-recommenders IRC channel [1] in the next days.

Cheers,
Marcel
