AW: [rap-dev] Updating a RAP web-app

Hi,

bundle lifecycle management belongs to the OSGi layer. So in principle a lot of things are thinkable, for example a process that actually checks whether newer versions of bundles are available in the plug-in folder and then automatically installs and starts those newer versions and uninstall the older versions. But this is nothing that is planned by the RAP team.

Betreff: [rap-dev] Updating a RAP web-app

Once a RAP web-app is deployed, can it be upgraded by simply fropping
in new features/plugins? Will the server have to be restarted? Is
there a plan to have a built in 'software updater' for the workbench?

Thanks!

Birch
