Hi,
Thanks for the
logos, building up on Ed’s comments I have replaced the
butterfly with one with multiple colors in the wings
(yellow, orange, red). I have used colors form the solarized
theme [1] which work for both light and dark themes.
Mind that the
butterfly is not ideal and I am no artist, just a proof of
concept, which hopefully Christopher can build one.
Regards,
Hi
Thanks. Interesting.
The butterfly works well; it is a distinctive shape. The
caterpillar unfortunately doesn't work.
I don't have any strong preference.
I might choose the sideways view climbing over the letters as
an OMG logo (row 6 column 1)
Row 8 column 1 as an Eclipse logo, reducing to just the
butterfly with an r/o overlay at 16x16, 32x32.
Perhaps green rather than red/orange since red is usually an
error indication. Butterflies are very colourful, I'm sure we
can have a bit more color without too much clutter. Perhaps a
more stylized form of http://wallerz.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/4049_butterfly.jpg
(black trimming, yellow/orange/red wings).
If we want to accommodate dark theme usage, perhaps http://www.sherylobryan.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/07/blue-butterfly.jpg
is a better starting point.
Regards
Ed

Hi everybody
Attached you will find an overview
of QVT logo drafts. Due to the fact that chameleons are
already commonly used for logos, we relied on the
caterpillar/butterfly idea.
Please have a look.
Kind regards
