Perhaps I should not conjecture what the nature of my problem is, but instead merely

state the error message that I get.

I have launched a task on a remote machine via the generic slurm batch facilities.

The error dialog that I get is as follows:

'Launching 'mpitutorial' has encountered a problem.

sbatch Exited with a value:1

sbatch:error: Unable to open file .eclipsesettings/<128 bit guid>managed_file_for_script

Job Submit failed.

What steps can/should I take to debug this error. Were do I find the appropriate

diagnostic output?

What are the possible problems and how should I pursue a fix.

Any and all help would be deeply appreciated.
