Re: [ptp-user] Synchronized project name

I would submit it to PTP, because for CDT "Empty Project" is accurate.

Should the "Empty Project" one be submitted to CDT or PTP bugzilla?

Hi Rocky

The first suggestion sounds reasonable. Please submit a feature request if you like.

I never thought about "Empty Project"s not actually being empty... good point. It
does make sense if one views synchronized projects as an extension to CDT projects.
For someone without prior experience with plain CDT, though, I guess it is confusing.

This may be harder to change, because it is tied to CDT (both technically and
conceptually). Feel free to file a bugzilla anyway, though, for further discussion.

Thanks

When creating a synchronized project, I will often first select the remote directory location using the "Browse..." button.  I then type in the project name and my directory location is reset.  One suggestion is that if the user has already explicitly selected a remote directory, not to overwrite it when typing in the project name.  If this seems appropriate, I would be happy to submit a bugzilla feature request.

I also noticed that on the same dialog, selecting Makefile project/Empty Project can be confusing for some, since the project is not actually empty after the first sync.
