[ptp-user] Keep getting timeouts when parallel debugging

I've been having a lot of problems with the parallel debugger. At first I thought it might be related to GDB, so I switched to a different node on our cluster that has a more recent version. No dice. I have compiled my code using OpenMPI and set it to break in main(). When I try to continue by pressing the green "play" button, it hangs for a while, and I eventually get

Error on tasks: 1 - Get info thread request error!
Reason: Time out for this request.

Anyone have anything like this happen to them?
