Thanks for you quick answer. I just realized that my Eclipse (3.8) version was obsolete (as well as my PTP version (4.3)).

It was the version downloaded from Ubuntu software center. I changed my Eclipse version to 4.3 (Kepler) as well as PTP
tools to (7.0.3), and now everything works fine.

What version of PTP are you running?  We did away with the  'resource manager' term a couple of versions ago.
The current release of ptp (7.0.x) should handle OpenMPI 1.6.3.

I have Open MPI version 1.6.3 installed on my machine and I tried Hello World MPI program given from the tutorial on how to set up PTP. Apparently I was able to build the program with build option as there where no problems reported during the build. Also I have to mention that MPI works perfectly from the terminal (compiling and running) on my Ubuntu 13.04.

However when I try to run Resource Manager (in order to run MPI program) I get the following error:

"Detected version "1.6.3" does not match selection or is unsupported"

Selection on MPI version is set to automatic, although I saw that there is only option to check MPI 1.4 as the latest...

Does this mean that PTP does not support MPI version 1..6.3? Does this mean that only way for resource manager to work, and thus for me to run my MPI programs is to downgrade my Open MPI version? I really wanted to use Eclipse in my growing MPI project (due to all syntax highlighting, intellisense, refactoring etc...) but if this is the case I might resort back to using he plain Gedit.
