I am running on Kubuntu Oneiric (11.10), 32bit, uname -r reports "3.0.0-21-generic". The hardware is Lenovo Thinkpad T400. The remote system is SuperMUC, No. 4 on the current TOP500 list, http://i.top500.org/system/177719, http://www.lrz.de/services/compute/supermuc/ .
