Re: [ptp-user] org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.sync.git.core.RemoteSyncExeption

Hi

In older versions, channelexec errors could often be triggered by using files with non-standard characters
in the file name. It could be that some combination of character/shell/remote provider still does not work
correctly:

Do you have any file names with non-standard characters?
What is your remote shell?
What remote provider are you using (Local, Remote Tools, or RSE)?

Thanks
John

Hi,

I frequently now get org.eclipse.ptp.rdt.sync.git.core.RemoteSyncExeption with
Details as follows.
Synchronization error for project seissol:

ChannelExec

ChannelExec

Does anyone know what this means. So far I can only recover by scratching the
entire remote project, removing the local .ptp_sync and restarting eclipse.
But this means that I have to recreate my remote executables (they are filtered
out from synchronization), which takes a while.

My eclipse version is the following.
Version: Indigo Service Release 1
Build id: 20110916-0149
My installation data are attached below.
