[ptp-user] RES: DSM problem

Greg,

I’m trying to debug on a local machine…

During the setup of the resource manager, I selected ‘Local’ (for the type of connection).

Cesar,

Are you trying to debug an MPI program on the local machine or on a cluster?

When you set up the resource manager, did you select a local connection, or are you using Remote Tools (or RSE)?

Hi there...

I am having a problem with the dsm... I recently downloaded and installed the PTP tools and I am trying to use them… everything works fine except the debugging process.

When I try to debug a simple (open) MPI program, pop-up windows appear. I will describe them quickly…

·         Firstly, a window appear indicating: “writing routing file…”

·         After a few seconds,  a window appears indicating: “Problem Ocurred”, ‘Master SDM Control’ has encountered a problem, sdm master process finished with exit code 1.

·         After closing this window, a new one indicates: “Error completing debug job lunch”, Reason: cannot connect to debugger

·         The error log shows essentially the same, plus: Error invocating shouldRun () method on: Removing registered processes (1921)

I am following all what is indicated in the PTP help included in Eclipse… so I do not know what is happening really…

I am using Eclipse Indigo, Photran 7.0.0, PTP 5.0.1, Linux (centos) and Open MPI…

Please, can someone help on this issue (I already spent so many hours trying to figure out what is happening but so far without any luck..)?

Many thanks,

C
