Re: [ptp-user] can't connect rse to rdt server

Without seeing the actual steps you did I can't say what's going wrong. Are you sure you set the files subsystem in RSE to connect to the right port? Generally you'll want to specify a port on the command line to the server and then setup the subsystem to match.

My general advice is to follow the getting started content in the RDT help. If those steps don't work then there is an issue we need to investigate.

[ptp-user] can't connect rse to rdt server

Hi,

I have the following problem: when trying to connect the RSE to an RDT server,
basically nothing happens, the RDT server will time out after some time and I
don't even get any error message from eclipse. I'm using the Eclipse version
3.4.2 (Build 200902111700) for Linux with PTP build 200903061902 and the RDT
server from the PTP download page. I have tried running the server on CentOS
5.3 with Eclipse on Fedora 10 as well as both server and client on Fedora 10
and on Kubuntu 8.10, always with the same result.
Any hints to what the problem could be would be appreciated.
Thanks

Christoph
