Re: [ptp-dev] new bugfix release

8.1.1 is a new version. Luna SR1 was 8.1.0.

I’ll upload the build to tools/ptp/builds/mars/milestones/M4 so it will be picked up by the Mars aggregator.

It looks like the build completed and is at http://download.eclipse.org/tools/ptp/builds/8.1.1

On that site I still see ptp-master-8.1.1.201410011813.zip Based on that date (and version number) it is stillthe one from 2 months ago. Shouldn't a new bugfix release have the version 8.1.2.? The job output https://hudson.eclipse.org/ptp/job/ptp-release-packages/27/console shows 8.1.1-SNAPSHOT.

I outlined where I think the builds are being done, and being put, here a while back:

If i remember correctly...
For a 'ptp-release' build (ptp_8_1 branch, headed to SR2) i think we have to manually kick off the build. Last one was 2 months ago.
Only ptp-nightly (master branch) build kicks off automatically upon check-ins.
i can kick off the build for you if you can't...in fact i'll do that.

Hi,

can we do a bugfix release before SR2? It would be nice to have the bugfixes for remote in a build. It isn't possible to connect to Titan without the fix for 445425. Maybe it would make sense to also have a nightly build of the release branch in Hudson. Actually if we had release-nightly Hudson build, a release would be less important because I could point a local user just to the release-nightly build. On the other if users use a release-nightly build it makes it a bit harder to reproduce issues.
