Hi Rodrigo,
Specifying RMs using XML is already available in PTP 5.0 and will be in PTP 6.0 as well. The XML configuration documentation is here: http://wiki.eclipse.org/PTP/designs/Resource_Manager_Configuration
There is currently no way to specify the default SDM path, but this is something that could be added fairly easily to the schema. We'd need a bug to be opened that requests the proposed changes.
