Re: [ptp-dev] Problems building PTP PE proxy with 3/24 build

Re my last email. This is a bug/feature in the BUILD script. Clearing out the old plugins should fix it.

Something is wrong with the build for my PE proxy after installing the
latest PTP build, but I don't understand what could be going wrong. I cd to the org.eclipse.ptp.linux.x86_64_2.0.0.200803241015 directory and run ./BUILD. It looks like there are errors in building prior plugins since I see error messages for the org.eclipse.ptp.proxy_2.0.0.200803241015 and
several others before this.

One thing that looks odd to me is that the build process seems to be
looking in directories for the 3/18 and 3/24 builds based on the error
messages. Another thing that looks odd is that when the build tries to
build my PE proxy it seems as if it is skipping the compile and trying to
link immediately.

I tried building my proxy by itself by cd to
org.eclipse.ptp.rm.ibm.pe.proxy_2.0.0.200803241015 then running automake,
autoconf, configure, make clean and make. That also fails.

I'm not sure if I have broken something with my latest updates to fix
problems with building the proxy in last week's build or if the problems are elsewhere. The PE proxy should build on any Linux system since it has no dependencies on anything in PE. The LoadLeveler proxy probably has the
same problem but I can't verify it since I don't have LoadLeveler
installed on the system where I am testing PTP.

I've attached the log file from running BUILD. If there's something I need
to do to fix this, let me know.

Dave
