Re: [ptp-dev] Fw: Problem loading PTP features on an AIX system

I'm not sure why there is a difference between CDT and PTP. There's nothing in the PTP update site that specifies a language or locale. I don't think 'c' is a valid locale for Eclipse though.

The person testing LoadLeveler found what appears to be the problem. Her language locale (LANG environment variable) on the AIX system was set to 'c'. Once she set it to En_US she was able to see the PTP features and install them. Is there something in the download manager setup that could be language/locale sensitive that caused problems for PTP but not CDT?

Problem loading PTP features on an AIX system

I have  a person in China who is running LoadLeveler plugin tests. She was able to load the PTP plugins onto a Linux system without any problems. When she tries to load the plugins on an AIX system, she is able to load the CDT plugins without any problems. However, the PTP plugins do not show up in the available plugins list. If she clicks off the checkbox so she can see all plugins regardless if they are applicable to the architecture, then she can see the plugins but the install button is disabled.

I was able to see and download the PTP plugins on my AIX system without problems.  Both of our systems are running AIX 5.3.0.0. I had her check her language locale to make sure it was set to US English and it was. She was able to download the LoadLeveler plugins onto a Linux system.

It seems there is some sort of configuration problem with the download manager that is preventing downloads for AIX for her, but I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

Any ideas?
