[ptp-dev] steps for testing a PTP cvs build?

hi -

Are there general steps I can follow to set up a dev environment. Say, 
the easy part such as using cvs checkout all components can be skipped, 
but how to make a build from scattered components and test it with 
Eclipse environment?

Any pointer is appreciated.
