What do you mean "the previous PTP runtime and debug perspective are just
gone "?
1. Can you reopen them with Window->Open Perspective?
2. Can you see the PTP plugins in Help -> About Eclipse SDK ... 'features'
and 'plugins' buttons list what's installed.

Hi, folks -
Suppose I install CDT and then PTP, all is good and sweet. Now, if I
install one more plugin, then the previous PTP runtime and debug
perspective are just gone ... I tried two independently developed
plugins (pydev and RDT) multiple times, the result are the same.
To replicate the issue, New Remote Site to python dev environment or
ruby dev environment and install:
http://pydev.sourceforge.net/updates
http://updatesite.rubypeople.org/release
is this a known issue, any workaround?
