[ptp-dev] RSE and (CDT) Remote development

Just to follow up postings on cdt-dev response to my post about RSE:
(This is consistent with what we had heard about RSE, so good to hear, and
good to hear
that others have had successes with RSE)

============
The word from the Target Management project in DSDP is that RSE (or some
part of it) will be open sourced on Eclipse "sometime soon". Once this
happens, I think that RSE will become the defacto remote development
solution. But we'll need to get our hands on it first to see if it does
what
we need and how easy it is to adapt to different environments.

===============
Doug is right. IBM is finishing up its internal license checking on the
RSE code base now. We hope to get RSE into the Eclipse IP due diligence
process sometime in January. After due diligence, it will be committed to
CVS.

Martin Oberhuber is the TM project lead, so I'll let him provide a further
status up.
