[polarsys-iwg] Potential funding for project about tooling for robotics - Fwd: RobMoSys Call Opened: Join our Brokerage Day in Frankfurt to find out more!

Dear all,

Please find below a newsletter from the RobMosys project.
The Eclipse Foundation is a partner of this European project that promotes model driven tools for robotics.

The project organizes an open call with significant funding (up to 250k€ per partner for projects funded up to 300k€), and there is a brokerage meeting in Frankfurt on August 24th.

I hope to see you there with great ideas to contribute to this goal of better tools for better robots.

Best regards,

RobMoSys Open Call opened

The first RobMoSys Open Call - opened on July 10th and closing on October 9th, 2017 - will select up to 12 projects to start on March 1st 2018 with a runtime of 12 months. The call offers research funding opportunities to research institutions, universities, industries, and SMEs, located in the EU.

Types of activities that qualify for financial support are software developments under the form of:

Models

• Composable models of components (ports, blocks, connectors enriched with composition constraints, resource requirements, etc.).

• Models of system-level composition (system composed out of models of components) within a relevant use-case (composition for design-time or run-time composability).

Tools and Meta-Models

• Extensions and/or improvements of, the provided RobMoSys meta-models (for instance for additional non-functional concerns such as Quality of Service, timing, performance, etc.).

• Extensions and/or improvements of, the provided RobMoSys tools baseline (e.g. for design-time predictability, sanity checks, composability analysis, formal conformance verification, etc.). The current RobMoSys tools baseline is available here.
