PlatformConfiguration had a patch for
bug 42415 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=42415) and it
also had fixes to get rid of xerces.
All the update code is no longer using
xerces either.

Hi, 

Did you made any change in the update.reconciler code between M4 and today's
integration build? 
I have some problems running with the latest integration build and equinox,
like if the configuration files were not written down.
