Hi all,

I'm forwarding here question from Lars. I did some software archeology 
and I see no reason for this dialog to exist at all, because it gives no 
practical benefit to the user.

I've entered https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=507106 and 
would like to ask you if you are agree to remove that annoying dialog 
(by flipping the default preference)?

Please comment on the bug. If no one has objections, I will switch the 
defaults to NOT show this dialog by default.

Friends of EGit,

everytime, I activate the Git blame annotations, I get the attached dialog.

I must admit that I do not know what this dialog is trying to tell me
and I assume most users will experience the same.

Do you know what the purpose of this dialog is? Maybe we should remove it?
