Let's please not repeat the same discussion
again, we've already discussed that topic in https://bugs.eclipse.org/430819
and came to a reasonable/agreeable result where we ping bugs that get a
certain age (2 years) without activity. We might consider to reduce that
to a year maybe?

Unrelated to the above, moving bugs
around would cause lots of notifications being sent to many people which
can be considered spam, or at least I would no longer find the relevant/real
notifications in that forest.

BTW, I never felt lost with the number
of open bugs: I just crafted myself queries that filter out older stuff.

FYI - Interesting approach Orion is taking. They can't
manage their 1500 bugs anymore, hence they are closing automatically older
bugs with the polite request to reopen the bug if it is still relevant.

In our components we have currently approx. 8000 Bugs
