Re: [platform-ui-dev] Invitation: Re: Reviewing of the top 50 bugs of Mars priority list (6 Nov 15:00 CET)

Hi Snjezana,

in case you cannot reproduce a bug anymore, it would be great if could close it with the remark the reporter that he should reopen the bug if he or she can still reproduce the issue.

I still have to re-test your patch for https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436225, sorry for being slow here.

Best regards, Lars

Daniel,

I have reviewed the following bugs:

- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=352690 - [DND] EditorAreaDropAdapter should ignore empty events
I have attached a patch.
Eclipse shouldn't log an exception or should log it only in the debug mode.
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=349021 - drag and drop does not work with Chrome on Linux
Attached is a patch.
related bugs : https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=434797 and https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=410624
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=405542 - https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=405542
Attached is a patch.
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=397029 - [MPE] MultiPageEditorPart is leaked via perspective's EclipseContext
The issue isn't reproducible anymore.
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436236 - [EditorMgmt] Reusing editors causes memory leak in navigation history
The issue isn't reproducible anymore.
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436225 - [ViewMgmt] Possible memory leak on closing views
The attached patch fixes the issue described in the bug.
It can be easily tested with YourKit, JVisualM and MAT.
The patch doesn't fix all memory leaks: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=436225#c22. There are other bugs for those issues.
- https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=432120 - [Contributions] Empty popup submenu not hidden in the XML editor
I have created a patch/workaround

There isn't any feedback related to these bugs yet.

Regards,
Snjeza

Hi Daniel,

attached a list of bugs I think are really important. Would be nice to see them in the top 5 list.

I'm this week at a customer side, I unfortunately I will not be able to join. I ask Simon if he has time.

We (vogella GmbH) are planning to work on them with priority.

Best regards, Lars
