Re: [platform-ui-dev] Guidelines for Bug priorities

Thanks Dani.

Do we have a wiki describing the approach for committers so that everyone can try to follow the same guidelines? I think I saw a few times the comment that "blocker", "critical" and "major" have a specific semantic and would like to understand them.

Best regards, Lars

There's priority which is set/owned by the team (committers) and the severity which is set by the user given how he justifies the problem. Older bugzilla installations described the severity but that got lost when 'importance' was introduced, see bug 367944 for details.

The customization bug is definitely also 'major' as already indicated by its parent/umbrella bug.

Hi,

can someone point me to the guidelines for bug priorities?

Sometimes the bug classification is a bit confusing for me.

For example I would not though that washed out icons would be a major issue (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=432405) while the broken customization of the toolbar enties is classified as normal (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=393391).
