Those are branding bundles, for the features
with the same name. In PDE build, if a bundle had same name as a feature,
it was automatically taken as the branding bundle for that feature without
being specified explicitly in the feature ... and ... I should know this
with more certainty ... I think Tycho was adjusted to do the same thing.

may I asked what the purpose of the org.eclipse.sdk plug-in
 from the eclipse.platform Git repo is?

It seems to repeat most infos from the org.eclipse.platform
plug-in.
