In M6 we are introducing some new support
for required field emphasis in dialogs.
The following bug includes much of the
background discussion.

We've introduced the support in some
dialogs in M6 in order to get some feedback.

We're trying to determine what should
be done for 3.2 - whether the current support is useful, what changes should
be made, and whether there should be a push for adoption of some strategy
for 3.2.
