I've made some modifications to KeySequenceText (the entry widget in the 
keys preference page) to try to improve its handling of selection. Changes 
have been committed to a branch in CVS as 1.16.2.1 (tag: Bug43657).  If 
anyone has a chance, could you try out the new "feel", and provide some 
feedback.
