I have also checked in Dougs code and have worked closely with him and I 
am very confident in his abilities as a commiter.

For those of you who can vouch, please consider a vote for Douglas Pollack 
as committer for those projects under the domain of the Eclipse desktop UI 
team. (org.eclipse.ui.*, org.eclipse.jface.*) Doug has been actively 
working in these areas for 2.5 months, especially in the areas of key 
bindings and commands. He has a good understanding of the UI codebase and 
his work is of good quality.
