[platform-ui-dev] org.eclipse.ui.markerImageProviders extension point?

Hi,


Is this "experimental" extension point no longer valid? I looked briefly at
the sources and looks like all icons for markers are hardcoded... To be more
precise a workbench marker adapter factory is registered with the platform
but the task view uses its own label provider, so any custom marker icons
are not reflected in this view. In other words one can make use of custom
icons anywhere but tasks view. Would anyone bring some light here?
