[platform-text-dev] File > Open External File... gives JavaFileEditorInput

When opening a file with "File" -> "Open External File...", the editor
receives a (non public)
org.eclipse.ui.internal.editors.text.JavaFileEditorInput object as its
IEditorInput.  Is this the final design for R3.0?  I'd have exected some
more generic (and publicly defined) class.
