[platform-team-dev] Setting proxy from the command line

Hi,

 

From the bug reports I’ve been getting on p2 and from a look at the code, it seems that there is no way to set the proxy settings using the well-known java system properties (http.proxyHost, http.proxyPort, etc.).

Did I miss anything? If not, is there a particular reason why this is not done today, and is there a reason why this could not be implemented?
