Thanks Markus for the warnings.

That is IMHO a sad statement. We are so proud of our plug-in based
architecture and spend so much time in maintaining backward
compatibility and the correct version range in our dependencies and
plug-ins.

But every time someone suggest to actually use a modern version of a
plug-in with a older set of plug-ins we recommend again it.
