[platform-swt-dev] SWT Browser on Linux with Proxy

Hi all,

After asking this question on the SWT newsgroup without success, i am asking it here (before opening a new Bugzilla entry).

I am trying to run the Eclipse's internal web browser on my RHEL3 station to browse the web .... All is ok for local files but i get the following error message when trying to reach the Internet. (I have got the same problem in Rssowl newsreader, i can't open news links inside the application and have to use an external Firefox).

www.google.fr could not be found. Please check the name and try again.

I tried  it on Windows and  before  displaying  the google home page i got a prompt  asking me for my Proxy  username  and  password. The proxy settings are inherited from my I.e i guess.

On the RHEL3 station i haven't this prompt so i guess the proxy settings are not here .....

How can i have my SWT browser working on RHEL3 when internet connection is done through a proxy ?

Manuel
