RE: [platform-swt-dev] SWT Widgets on Vista

By any chance, does this other bug describe the "missing borders" problem you are seeing?
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=145662

If so, then this is fixed in eclipse 3.3.

Actually, in the bug report for the borders problem, please attach 2 screen snapshots (not just one).

The first snapshot should show the "working" borders on XP.

The second snapshot should show the "missing" borders on Vista.

Thanks,

Carolyn

You need to give us a lot more information before we can figure out the problem.

Please open separate bug reports for the borders issue and for the events issue. Go here to open bugs: https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/  and choose Eclipse - Platform - SWT.

In each bug report, please give a snippet of code that shows the problem. If we can run code and see the problem here, this gives us the best chance of fixing it. To see many example snippets, look here: http://www.eclipse.org/swt/snippets/

In the bug report for the borders problem, please attach a screen snapshot to the bug, and type in the line of code that you used to create the widget(s) that are missing their borders.

In the bug report for the events problem, please say which widget(s) are involved, and what you expect to see happen vs. what is happening.

Good luck,

Carolyn

Hi All,

Please look into the vista problem as my product is almost done and facing problem on Vista platform.

More specifically the borders are not visible and events are not working
same as on XP.

Giving no clue to fix it.

I am using eclipse 3.2 and SWT binaries are coming from same.

With Best Regards,
Saurav
