[platform-swt-dev] SWT DatePicker component now available on SF (EPL license)

Hi --

We developed a fairly rich DatePicker component for use in our application.  After receiving a couple of inquiries from others asking if we'd open source that code, we've opted to do so, and release it under the EPL 1.0.

The code is available on SourceForge at http://ecl-datepicker.sourceforge.net .   It supports internationalized text and international date ordering/format, has both keyboard and mouse input variations, and is time zone aware.

I don't know if it is better to let this list know about its availability, or find some JFace list, or what.  But I thought I'd start by providing this list a pointer to the SF project, and then let you tell me what more appropriate venue there might be for letting people know about the availability of this (hopefully fairly useful) component.

Note: if there's interest in putting this into the Eclipse distribution, we'd be happy to offer it for that purpose.  If the core dev team is interested, please let me know by email.

Good usage!
Cheers

PS -- you are of course invited to come see the origins of this by looking at our RCP application - "Chirp".  See http://www.plumcanary.com .  It is a project management and task tracking system for teams, which uses iCalendar and SyncML to synchronize information among the team.
