[platform-swt-dev] Bug 82295: fix proposed in BugZilla

Hi all,

Please see a proposal for bug #82295 fix :

In brief, simple "getPrefXX/setPrefXX" interface is to be added.
It uses "nsIPref" XPCOM interface.

My questions are:
- whether this fix can be applied ?
- do we realy need to support new (nsIPrefBranch) XPCOM 
  interface for Preferences handling ?
  I'm asking because old (nsIPref) interface is the only
  available on Mozilla v1.4-1.7.2, and SWT.Browser is 
  officially intended for these versions only.
